Logvento Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Logvento (we) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our point-of-sale (POS), inventory management, and social media publishing platform ("the Platform"). By using Logvento, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
Name, email address, phone number, business name, and password (stored securely, never in plain text).
Store Data
Inventory records, product details, pricing, sales transactions, and customer records you input or generate through the Platform.
Payment Information (future-ready)
Billing details processed via third-party payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Social Media & Integration Data
Access tokens and account identifiers when you connect Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, or (in future) Google services, used solely to publish content and sync store data on your behalf.
Technical & Usage Data
IP address, device/browser type, log data, and usage patterns collected automatically to operate and improve the Platform.
Cookies
Small data files used to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and understand how the Platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
Provide, operate, and maintain the Services (POS, inventory, publishing).
Process transactions and manage your Store account.
Publish content to connected social media platforms at your direction.
Communicate with you about updates, support, and service-related notices.
Monitor for security threats, fraud, and abuse.
Improve and develop new features.
Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data or Store Data to third parties.
4. How We Share Information
We may share information with:
Third-party integrations (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, and future Google services) — only the data necessary to perform the publishing or sync actions you request. Use of these platforms is also governed by their own privacy policies.
Service providers who help us operate the Platform (e.g., hosting, database, and infrastructure providers), bound by confidentiality obligations.
Legal authorities, where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Business transfers, if Logvento is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
5. Data Storage & Security
Store Data and account information are stored on secure cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest where applicable.
We implement access controls, audit logging, and regular security practices to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or loss of data.
No system is completely secure; while we take reasonable measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and Store Data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services.
Upon account termination, you may request an export of your Store Data within [30] days, after which it may be permanently deleted, unless retention is required by law.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
Withdraw consent for integrations at any time by disconnecting them in account settings.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 11.
8. Third-Party Services
Connecting third-party services (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, Google) means those providers may also collect and process your data under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review their terms before connecting your accounts.
9. Children's Privacy
Logvento is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have done so, we will take steps to delete it.
10. International Data Transfers
If you access Logvento from outside the country where our servers are hosted, your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries, which may have different data protection laws than your own. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
